I don't know about you, but my feet took a serious beating this summer. Maybe it was from all the walking I did or from wearing chanclas day in and day out, but either way these heels were as dry and cracked as could be. It was so bad, I started wearing ankle booties the last week of August just to hide my beat up feet. How embarrassing is that?

You know you have a problem when your man's feet feel softer than yours. Yes, that was my case. But I refused to continuing wearing booties in 80-something degree weather, so I whipped up celebrity manicurist and owner of As "U" Wish Nail Spa, Skyy Hadley's coconut food scrub recipe. It left my feet so smooth and hydrated that I'm quickly considering making it a part of my regular upkeep. And if you don't believe me, check out the picture of my happy feet below!
Got beat up feet? Try this luxurious, at-home foot treatment. It works wonders, not to mention it costs nearly nothing!
What you need:
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
2 tablespoons of honey
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
4-5 mint leaves
A foot tub filled with warm water
What to do:
1. You can start off by muddling the fresh mint leaves in an empty jar to help release their natural essential oils. Or you can let them sit in the foot tub filled with warm water. That's what I did to save time.
2. Now take 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and pour it into a small bowl, add the 2 tablespoons of honey and the tablespoon of brown sugar.
3. Mix all the ingredients together. Then let your feet soak in the warm water.
4. Take some of the scrub and work it all over your legs and feet, especially around cracked heels, rough spots and calluses. For even better results use a foot file.
Tell me your feet don't feel awesome now!
