SEE: Jacqueline Bracamontes debuts new look

It's not often you see Jacqueline Bracamontes switch up her look. The telenovela star has been sporting long brown hair with soft lowlights for the longest time now. So I was very surprised (and kind of excited) when I saw her new 'do on Instagram. Turns out she got brand new bangs and she looks gorgeous! See, change can be a good thing!

Jacky posted a picture of her new look to Instagram yesterday with the caption: "Do you like the fringe look or not???" I don't like it–I LOVE it! The new bangs make the mom of two look younger and hip. I also love the way the caramel highlights bring out her eyes. It's actually a great look for busy moms who don't want a drastic change.

Bangs might look cute on kids, but that doesn't mean they can't make grownups look sexy too. The trick is to find a style that actually complements your face shape and features. Check out a few tips below to help you figure out which fringe works best for you!

When it comes to hair, Eva Longoria isn't a big fan of change. In fact, she's been sporting the same caramel-highlighted tresses since her Desperate Housewives days. So of course I was excited when I found out she got brand new bangs! Eva got the new cut by her bestie and stylist, Ken Paves. What I love about Eva's new bangs is how well they frame her oval-shaped face.

Heavy bangs can easily overwhelm a square shaped face like Salma's, but her long bangs were tapered on the side, adding a soft element that prevented her face from looking too boxy.

If you have a square face like Salma or Demi Lovato, a full blunt fringe works best. The trick is to make sure the bangs hit the right spot. Tell your stylist to have them tapered on the sides and make sure they stop right above your brows.

Round Face

Bangs can make a round face like Eva Longoria's appear fuller. So to soften prominent cheeks go for long angular bangs–just like she did above! This style will help elongate the face, making it appear more oval.

Heart-Shaped Face

No full fringe here! Shorter side-swept bangs create a balancing effect on heart-shaped faces like Jennifer Lopez’s, drawing attention away from a strong chin and to the eyes. Go for featured bangs that hit the arch of your eyebrow. You can wear them to the side or straight with a middle part.

Oval Face

Oval-shaped faces like Jessica Alba's can pretty much sport any kind of fringe (lucky you!). But thick, wide bangs look best because they accentuate features and break up the face so it doesn’t look as long.
