Axelle Despiegelaere, the ‘most beautiful’ World Cup fan, lands big modeling contract

Brazil produces some beautiful models, but usually they are homegrown and not flown in from Belgium. All that changed with the 2014 World Cup. Check out this fútbol fan-to-modeling story: 17-year-old Axelle Despiegelaere flew to Brazil a couple of weeks ago to cheer on her nation's team. She painted her face, put on a viking hat, shook her pom poms and cheered for Belgium from the stands. A  photographer took her picture, the picture made it onto the internet, Axelle Despiegelaere's good looks and great hair were noticed by many and now she has a modeling contract with a HUGE company.

Oh yeah, wait until you find out who she signed a contract with and wait until you hear what she's done that might put the whole thing in jeopardy!!!

Oh, a little company called L'Oréal asked Despiegelaere if she would be interested in working with them. L'Oréal, ever heard of them? Can you believe that?! All from a random picture that was taken of her in Brazil while watching a soccer match! Despiegelaere jumped at the chance and the following video was put together by makeup company.

Cool, right? But wait, there is more to this story and it's not good!!! It involves killing animals and joking about hunting Americans.

Okay, so when Despiegelaere got back home, she set up a Facebook page and got over 19,000 fans and she posted a whole bunch of pictures of her trip from Brazil on it. But then on July 1, she posted this picture with the caption, "Hunting is not a matter of life or death. It's much more important than that …. this was about 1 year ago … ready to hunt Americans today haha."

Pues, I guess some people took offense at the dead gazelle and some took offense at the comment about hunting Americans and some were just offended in general. Anyway, she got so much grief about that post that she deleted her page. Me, I can handle the joke about hunting Americans because I'm sure she doesn't intend to really do it, but I hope she ate that gazelle for dinner and didn't just kill it to kill it. Does anyone even eat gazelle? Poor gazelle.

No word yet on what L'Oréal thinks of her Facebook post. Business Insider reached out to them, but hasn't gotten a response thus far. We'll see what happens with her modeling contract, but regardless, I'm sure the Belgian beauty has garnered enough attention and admirers that if she wants to keep modeling, she can. Perhaps a company that sells hunting paraphernalia would like to work with her?
