I don't think I'm ever going to understand the whole butt injections trend. The more I read about it the more I learn how dangerous and risky this surgery really is. Telenovela actress Livia Brito, who's the star of the popular Univision telenovela De que te quiero, te quiero, is the latest victim to the procedure. The 27-year-old Cuban star recently caught a serious infection in her buttocks and, reportedly, she's not in good shape!

What would possess someone as beautiful as Brito to get butt injections is beyond me. But after this nasty infection, I'm pretty sure she's starting to have regrets. The crazy thing is, Brito got butt injections done five years ago in Colombia. Instead of having her own fat injected, she had plastic polymer molecules inserted into her butt to make it larger. Here she is five years later with pain and an infected booty. That has to suck big time!
"She's going through a difficult time and is living in silence. She's had severe pain, caused by a substance that was injected and now she's paying the price," a close friend of her's told TV y Notas magazine. "She's already taking action on the matter, but she's still very delicate and is suffering." ¡Pobrecita!
According to reports, Brito is very scared about what could happen and I don't blame her. I'd be scared out of my mind too if I were in her shoes. You know how many women have died from this thing? Miami radio personality Betty Pino is just one of many who died from butt injections and it's devastating. When are people going to stop getting this thing done? Let's just hope everything turns out better for this telenovela star and that she recovers from all this soon. I'm going to keep her and her family in my prayers!
