There's so much information out there on finding the best (and most flattering) bras for a big bust. Nowadays there's even bras especially designed for a woman with bigger boobs. But what about those of us who are part of the itty bitty titty committee? Yeah, we might have more style options and, sure, sometimes we can get away with going braless, but that doesn't mean we don't need help too. Heck, I just found out I'm a B cup when I've been wearing an A cup all along. And trust me–we need support too!

I'm not going to lie, I got my very first bra fitting about two months ago at a random fashion event. The lady who measured me was stunned to hear I've been walking this earth for 27 years without ever having my boobs measured–not even once! But see, that's the problem with us small-chested chicas. We think the bra rules don't apply to us and that's so NOT the case. Here are a few bra tips every woman with small breasts should live by!
Get the right bra fit: You know your bra fits if your boobs perfectly fill into the cups without bulging, gaping or feeling too tight. The band should sit straight without riding up and the straps should lay perfectly in place without digging anywhere. I recommend you get measured by an expert the next time you hit up a lingerie or department store. You might actually be wearing the wrong size.
You do need support: For years I swore my small boobies didn't need any support but that's far from the truth. Even the smallest chest needs support, unless you want them sagging and drooping with the years. Try looking for bra brands specifically designed for a smaller bust, like The Little Bra Company. They'll help you make the most of your size and create amazing cleavage too.
Lose the padding: I used to always resort to bras with thick padding to make my small A's pass for a C cup, but boy were they uncomfortable. If you happen to like padded bras, great. But if all you want is a little extra boost, look for a push-up style with minimal padding. Yes, they do exist! Try Victoria's Secret Unlined Demi Bra ($48).
Never buy a bra without trying it on: You have been a 34A for years, but that doesn't mean that won't change. Our breasts tend to increase and decrease in size depending on our weight. Plus, a 34A in one store may not fit you the same as one in another. It's always smart to try them on first.
Don't wash them all the time: If you wash your bras after every single use STOP! It's actually recommended you wear them at least two or three times before washing. This actually helps them last longer and maintain their shape. Interesting right?
