A beauty blogger from Singapore recently experienced the most horrific reaction to a spa facial ever. Juli runs a blog called bunbunmakeuptips.com, where she reviews a number of beauty treatments and products on a regular basis. But none of them have ever left her with a reaction as terrifying as this one. The rash only got worse as the days went by, leaving her f__ace and neck covered with painful, inflamed red pimples filled with pus.__ I've never seen anything so gross in my life. It really has me thinking twice about getting any kind of beauty treatment anytime soon.

Juli decided to document her terrible experience in a series of blog posts to warn her readers about the possible reactions to spa facials or treatments. The pictures are so scary she even had to leave her followers with a warning, "This post contains graphic images of a face inflamed with red, angry pimples filled with pus." Juli explains how almost immediately after receiving the facial she started to break out into small red spots. They quickly started to increase in number and pretty soon started to develop pus.
I CANNOT believe how bad this reaction became. It's a beauty nightmare come true!
She complained to the spa who assured her, "It has to get worse before it gets better." Juli recognized that was total BS, and desperately visited a clinic where they tried extracting the pus. But that only made things worse, as it caused the rash to grow, leaving her face itchy and in pain. And even though her skin only got worse with the days, she still refused to mention the name of the spa or treatment that was used on her because she believes the spa didn't intend to have this happen.
Even so, that didn't mean she wasn't furious about it. Things got so bad she had to attend the Singapore blogging awards as a finalist with a mask on because she was too mortified to show her face. Poor thing!
This proves that just because your receiving a beauty treatment at a reputable spa doesn't mean you can't wind up with a bad reaction. Sometimes it has nothing to do with how the treatment was performed, but more to do with how sensitive your skin is. All I know is if you're breaking out like this, there's definitely something very, very wrong!
