The other day I was looking for a cool nail look to try out and I stumbled upon this fierce manicure. Don't be intimidated! This style is a lot easier to do than it looks. The trick to nailing this look is precision and a ton of patience.

Step 1: Start off by prepping your nails using a nail file. This look works great on any nail shape. But for a super edgy look, opt for an almond shape manicure.
Step 2: Apply a base coat to nails to help hold the color. I like OPI Natural Nail Base Coat ($8).
Step 3: Then, apply two coats of your base color. Make sure you go for a light neutral color so the black really pops. For a nude shade like this one try, Zoya Nail Polish in Alluria.
Step 4: Once the polish dries, take a nail art pen in black, like Kiss Nail Fine Art Pen ($6) and start outlining the edge of your nail, doing one section at a time. Just make sure to apply slowly and carefully.
