The Skims founder welcomed four kids with her ex-husband, Kanye West. In 2013, their first daughter, North, was born. Their son, Saint, arrived in 2015, followed by Chicago in 2018 and another son, Psalm, in 2019. Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in 2021 after six years of marriage.

Recently, Kim posted photos from Chicago West’s 7th birthday party.

More than a month after her younger daughter turned 7, Kim shared a photo dump from her daughter’s party on Instagram.

“Chicago’s 7th cowgirl birthday,” the mom of four captioned her update.

In the featured image, Kim and Chi rocked cowgirl attire—with Kim wearing a mostly black look and the birthday girl donning a contrasting white outfit—including hats and boots.

The event included on-theme games.

Among the snaps Kim shared of the party’s set-up was a “Poppin’ Pistols Showdown” game that involved throwing darts at balloons fastened to a large bulletin board. “Chi” was written with rope on the front of the game area. Additionally, party-goers could play a milk can toss game.

In other images Kim shared, Chicago’s birthday cake looked almost too good to eat. It featured a pink cowgirl boot on top of a cowgirl hat, with “Happy 7th Birthday Chi!” written on it. Meanwhile, Kim looked like she had a blast smashing a giant pink cowgirl boot piñata at the party. Other photos showed Chicago posing and having fun with her cousins, as well as more western decor and a stage/dance floor.

It’s possible Kim waited to post the pictures because of the California wildfires.

Chicago turned 7 on January 15 amid the devastating wildfires near Los Angeles, California. Multiple blazes burned down more than 40,000 acres, destroyed over 12,300 structures, and killed at least 29 people. Considering the fires started on January 7 and lasted throughout the month, Kim likely did not want to seem insensitive to those displaced and/or in mourning and waited to share the birthday photos.

However, she did post a tribute on Chi’s actual birthday.

On January 15, Kim took to Instagram with a carousel of selfies with her younger daughter and a sweet birthday shoutout.

“My twin soul baby girl Chi turns 7 today!” the doting mom wrote. “You are the cutest Hello Kitty loving, full of wonder sweet girl who loves your friends and family so much! We all love you so much! Happy Birthday my Chi Chi 💘.”
