#XVdeRubí: The viral quinceañera ended in tragedy (PHOTOS)

If you thought that having a Quinceañera party that became viral was the weirdest thing that could happen to Rubí Ibarra and her family, wait until you hear about everything that went on in the party, including a death and some very lucrative business and political deals. This is beyond that telenovela deal she just inked too!

As it was announced, Rubí's party took place in La Joya, San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

Rubí Ibarra became an internet sensation when the video with the invite her family released on Facebook went viral on social media.

Unfortunately, the party ended in tragedy, when a 66-year-old man who was taking part in an amateur horse race "died due alcohol intoxication and not following the rules," said Rubí's uncle Pedro Ibarra.
In another incident, a 34-year-old man broke one of his legs, after jumping the security fence.

The party was a huge success.

The hotels and bed-and-breakfasts in the area of La Joya and nearby towns were filled to capacity, with daily room rates of between $20 and $60, according to Mexican media.

Rubí's dad had the head count at 200 people.

This was before the video of the invite went viral. The final tally was in around 30,000. Among the guests was Juan Manuel Carreras López, San Luis Potosí's governor. Dayum.

There were also hundreds of reporters at the party.

According to local newspaper El Pulso, more than 30 news outlets sent journalists to cover the party. There were around 250 people at the mass that preceded the party.

For the first time ever in the rural area, people had access to an internet signal.

A Mexican provider installed three antennas around La Joya and provided an internet signal for the first time ever for residents of the area.

Many celebrities had promised to be there for Rubí.

However, only K-Paz de la Sierra and Marco Flores y La Jerez showed up.

Rubí's dad got an unexpected proposal.

According to the Mexican media, opposing political party Partido de Acción Nacional (PAN) offered to support Don Crescencio's candidacy to be the county president.

La Quinceañera wore three different gowns.

If you look at her face it's easy to guess which one was her favorite.

Rubí even got a car from an infamous mayor.

Hilario Ramírez "Layín", mayor of the Mexican town of San Blas, known after he admitted that he stole "only a little" and lifting the skirt of a teen during an official event, said that he wanted Rubí to use the car to go to school.
