Wyatt Scott is a cute and cuddly little boy from Ottawa, Canada who recently celebrated his very first birthday. From looking at pictures of this cutie you would never ever guess that there was anything wrong with him. He looks like a happy 1-year-old and he is, but he suffers from a strange condition: Little Wyatt can't open his mouth. He eats from a tube in his belly and before that he had to be fed through a tube in his nose that led to his belly.
This little boy spent the first three months of his life in the hospital and since then his parents have had to call 911 several times because of choking incidents that Wyatt has had. The really baffling thing is that no one can seem to figure out what's wrong with Wyatt.

Dr. J. P. Vaccani, Wyatt's doctor, told ABC News that the rare condition Wyatt has is congenital trismus, which is usually the result of a fused joint or extra band of tissue. But the thing is that all of Wyatt's scans appear to be normal. Vaccai says, "It's an unusual situation where he can't open his mouth, and there's no kind of obvious reason for it. Otherwise, he's a healthy boy."
Can you imagine how frustrating it must be for Wyatt's parents Amy and Andrew Scott to have no idea what it is that is keeping their child from being able to open his mouth?
In an effort to try and get some answers as to why Wyatt can't open his mouth, the family launched the website WhatsWrongWithWyatt.com in hopes that someone would come across it and be able to shed some light on Wyatt's condition. They've gotten tons of emails so far, but nothing that has been able to help Wyatt.
The situation is really dangerous because Wyatt is still a curious baby that wants to try things and put them in his mouth. He almost died because he grabbed a piece of chicken from his mother's plate and was able to slide it in through his parted lips. His parents noticed and tried to pull it out, but since Wyatt can't use his jaw to open his mouth they had to pull it out in pieces and later when Wyatt fell asleep he started choking. Andrew Scott says, "He almost died. I ended up just giving him breath." Wyatt came to just as the ambulance arrived.
I'm so happy Wyatt made it through and I wish him a very happy first birthday and many, many more. I hope his family is able to find some answers that lead to being able to help Wyatt.
