The minute you see new mom Lindsey Miller carefully pick up her preemie son Ward Miles for the first time four days after he was born, you can't help but start crying. The tiny baby, weighing only 1.5 pounds, was born 15 weeks premature and he's pretty much covered in cables and tubes attached to the machines that help him stay alive. And so begins the amazing journey of this little human being from a preemie to a healthy 1-year-old as documented by his father in the heartwarming short film you're about to see.

Tiny Ward Miles was born July 16, 2012 in Ohio three and a half months before his due date. He had to stay in NICU for 107 days before he was allowed to go home. His father, Benjamin Miller, a photographer who works under the name Benjamin Scot, decided to put the short film together in honor of his wife and the determined medical staff who made it possible for his son to survive.
Seeing Ward Miles go from a teeny little person to a full-grown, healthy 1-year-old is nothing short of a miracle. If you watch nothing else today, I urge you to watch this video because you'll be blown away.
I can't imagine, not even for one minute, what the Millers must have gone through. Benjamin says there were some very dark moments, but their son's will to live and the medical's staff incredible dedication to make that happen kept them hopeful. Although Ward Miles still has some difficulties feeding, he's an otherwise perfectly normal 1-year-old–and one of the cutest ones I've seen in a while! Check out this little miracle for yourself:
