Traditional Dominican morir soñando is the batido of your dreams! (RECIPE)

When I was a little girl, my mom used to make this morir soñando (literally "to die while dreaming") batido. One day, she came home with the recipe and it was a big, huge surprise for my sister and me.

Years later, I learned that the origins of this sweet, delicious drink could be traced to the island of merengue and bachatas, to the land of mangú, con-con, and arroz con habichuelas: to my beloved Dominican Republic.
