No need to say I love mojitos. If there is a cocktail Olympus, I have no doubt mojitos have a place there (alongside the Martini, the Manhattan, and the sexy Cosmopolitan). My favorite mojito is the classic one: mint leaves muddled with sugar and lime juice that you shake with white rum and abundant crushed ice, strain in a tall glass with ice, top off with club soda and garnish with a mint sprig.

Because of my mojito affair my friend call me "queen of mojitos" and I have experimented with strawberry and basil, lavender and blueberry, melon, ginger and this beautiful rose mojito that I'm sharing with you today just because Mother's Day is around the corner… Isn't it pretty? It's also delicious, so enjoy!
Rose Mojito
I__ngredients:__
6 spearmint leaves
6 rose petals
3/4 oz Simple syrup (one part water, one part granulated sugar)
1.5 oz Ron de Venezuela Santa Teresa Claro, or your favorite white rum
3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
1.5 oz club soda
In a shaker, muddle the mint with the rose petals and simple syrup.
Add the rum and lemon juice, and fill with ice.
Shake well and strain into a highball glass filled with crushed ice.
Top off with club soda and garnish with a mint sprig.
