Before there was the big-booty queens of today like J.Lo or Kim Kardashian, there was Selena Quintanilla. The rising Tejano star didn't just touch our hearts with her music, but she also helped a lot of us (including myself) to appreciate our butt and hips. Selena was proud of her curves and wasn't afraid to show them off. Of course, there's always haters and there's always chismes. Here's how she responded to butt implants rumors in a 1994 interview with Gloria Calzada. She shut them down like a boss!

Calzada addressed quite a few things in this particular interview, from Selena's rising music career, to working with Johnny Depp, winning a Grammy, and chismes.

"Did they make up any rumors in 1994?," Calzada asked Selena in Spanish. "Yes, they made up a lot of rumors. One that my butt isn't real," Selena said in Spanish cracking up. "Yes, they're real. Touch it. They're real." Calzada who seemed surprised by the rumors, touched Selena's butt and said, "I didn't know."
Selena then goes on to address another rumor about her breaking up from her band. "You can see I'm still with my group and I'm always going to be with my group. They're my family," she said.
In all honesty, if there's one celeb who probably never had butt implants it was Selena. There's no doubt in my mind that her figure was natural. It looked natural. It's really not unusual at all for a Latina to have a tiny waist, wide hips, and a big butt. Leave it to Selena to shut down a ridiculous rumor like that in such a chill and confident way.
