It's so easy to forget that our abuelas are as awesome as they actually are. We look at them and think that they are set in their ways. We shake our heads when they don't embrace technology as quickly as we do. We chuckle when we have to help them set the microwave that they've had since 1982 that is the size of minivan. But really, the joke is on us because our grandmothers are better than us at so many things.

Here are just seven ways that your abuela is better than you:

Cooking
Abuela is a better cook, no doubt about it. She's trying to teach you all her secrets, but it's going to take you a lifetime to master them all. I'll bet her abuela was an awesome cook too.
Ironing
What is it with abuelas and ironing? My abuela had a whole system and told me the order in which you are supposed to iron a shirt. I gave up, I embrace wrinkled clothing.
Sewing
By the time you've threaded a needle, your abuela has already made two dresses for your primas and you're the one who went to fashion design school.
Handwriting
Do you even know how to handwrite or are you all about printing and typing? Because your abuela may not be very good at texting but she can handwrite beautiful circles of words around you. She takes pride in her penmanship.
Knowing the neighbors
It's like you have to be Miss Congeniality to be an abuela. Abuelas get to know their neighbors. I'm not sure I even know what my neighbors look like.
Bargaining
I love a good bargain, so I look for sales. Abuelas love a good bargain too, so they ask for one whether something is on sale or not and the crazy thing is that they manage to score deals left and right.
Crotchet
If they are cold, they can crotchet a shawl. All you can do is wrap some yard around yourself and shiver.
