A pregnant teenager with a long criminal history will give birth to her second child in jail after a judge ruled that her behavior is so wild, that prison would be the most "stable" place for the newborn.
Natalie Harvey first became a mom at 16. Since then, the now 19-year-old has been branded "Britain's worst mom," racking up 26 convictions for violence and other violations. The teen is currently 31 weeks pregnant by her conman ex-boyfriend, Wayne Kinvig, who has already served his own jail sentence for charity scams. The couple split last April after Kinvig allegedly beat Harvey up and the mom was pleading for a little leniency in her latest sentencing so that she could give birth outside of prison. But the judge ruled against her, pointing out her troubled past as a reason for his decision.

Harvey, who reportedly lost both her parents and has no family left, was reportedly in court after attacking a stranger in McDonald's and was desperate not to go to jail before welcoming her baby. However, the judge cited her criminal history, as well as her refusal to cooperate with social services or attend all her neonatal appointments as red flags for her parenting ability. Eventually, he concluded that going to prison would act in the child's interests as there is "stability, some proper medical help and some assistance."
It's unclear whether the baby will stay in her mother's care for a certain period of time after birth or if the infant will be handed over to social services.
This is such a sad, sad case, particularly for Harvey's kids–both her eldest child and the unborn one. They'll be left without parents to rely on or to care for them. Obviously, Harvey comes from troubled circumstances and leaving the children under her care could be a huge risk if she doesn't get help. I only hope that those kids find homes where they can get the love they deserve.
