As the details of NBA player Tristan Thompson's latest cheating scandal and the paternity lawsuit filed by Texas personal trainer Maralee Nichols continue to emerge, sources are speaking up about how his ex, Khloé Kardashian, with whom he shares a 3-year-old daughter, is handling the situation. A source close to Khloé, recently told E! News that the reality TV star is “ignoring the noise,” as Tristan’s latest drama unfolds.

Maralee, who gave birth to a baby boy in early December 2021, is suing Tristan for child support and expenses relating to her pregnancy and child care. Tristan, who has not denied possibly being the father of the baby, has requested a DNA test. Maralee’s baby could be Tristan’s third child, each with a different mother.
Khloé is reportedly tuning out the drama.
“Khloe's focused on co-parenting,” the source told E! News, also reconfirming that she and Tristan have been “broken up since spring.” The two called it quits officially for the second time, after Instagram model Sydney Chase claimed to have slept with Tristan while he and Khloé were still together.
Tristan admitted to cheating.
In a legal filing in response to Maralee’s paternity suit, Tristan admitted to having sex with her in March 2021, while he and Khloé were still a couple. “Khloé was upset to find out that he cheated again," a source told People. "She just can't believe that he is going to be a dad again.”
Khloé kept hoping for more from Tristan.
Even after it was clear that Tristan had cheated on her multiple times since they first started dating in 2016, the People source says Khloé tried to see the best in him. The source said that despite her friends trying to convince her not to take him back when the two reignited their romance in 2020, Khloé did, “because she always believed that he would change.”
Khloé is an optimistic person.
“She is just a really great person and wants to see the positive in people,” the source told People. “She was just hopeful that he would stay faithful and loyal to her.”
Khloé reportedly isn’t holding a grudge.
Despite the many times that Tristan has wronged her personally, Khloé still spends time with him and their daughter, True. The People source said, she wants to “keep things friendly,” and indeed, the two have been spotted on multiple outings together since Maralee’s lawsuit was filed in June.
She has remained focused on her daughter and career.
Even after news of the lawsuit and Maralee giving birth became public, Khloé has kept quiet and not issued a public statement on the situation. Instead, she’s continued to focus on her daughter and her career, posting family photos and videos on social media, and promoting various projects, including a recent cover story for Cosmopolitan magazine and several new brand partnerships.
