Grammys 2014: Beyonce’s “Drunk In Love” hair is HOT

Beyonce completely blew me away at the 2014 Grammy Awards last night. That "Drunk In Love" performance with hubby Jay-Z was HOT! And don't get me started on the sexy sheer white gown she wore afterwards. But because I'm so hair obsessed, what really did it for me was Bey's wet and wild strands. You have NO idea how thrilled I was to see her switch up her hairstyle for an award show–for like the first time in FOREVER!

Beyonce's look worked for her steamy performance and for afterwards when she changed into that amazing dress. With a style like this you don't have to worry about frizz like you would with a fresh blow out. Loving it already, huh? Check out a few of my tips below for replicating this sexy wet hair look!

Prep: To prevent frizz, try applying a leave-in conditioner to already wet and clean hair. I recommend Ouidad Moisture Lock Leave-In Conditioner ($23). It keeps my curls soft for hours.

Define: Who says you have to have naturally curly hair to rock this look? Work a curl defining gel (that's not going to leave crunch) to wet strands from root to ends. I love DevaCurl Light Defining Gel ($19). Make sure to scrunch hair while applying the product to help maintain definition.

Diffuse: You want your hair to look wet, but you don't actually want to show up anywhere with soaked strands. Try lightly drying using a diffuser just until hair is about 60 percent dry. It also helps boost volume. The DevaCurl DevaFuser Attachment ($45) has a hand shape that helps dry and define curls without the frizz.

Finish off: Skip the strong-hold spray, the last thing you want is for your strands to look stiff. For an effortlessly flawless look, spritz some shine spray instead, like Alterna Bamboo Luminous Shine Mist ($24). Remember the style is meant to look natural and slightly messy.
