Kim Kardashian's maternity style__ really has me confused. The mom-to-be was spotted yesterday as she stepped out to lunch with a few girlfriends in Beverly Hills, wearing a black lace top that featured a peek-a-boo cutout by her belly that highlighted her bump. I get that she's finally comfortable in her pregnancy body and she wants to proudly show off her baby bump, but showing your midriff while pregnant is NEVER okay!

It's frustrating because had she worn an appropriate top, this outfit would have been kind of cute. She wore it with black snug jeans, a navy blazer, simple black pumps, and a classic satchel bag. I even loved the way she wore he hair up in braids. But a midriff top, really? I'm not a huge fan of belly shirts to begin with, especially if you're over the age of 17. But on a pregnant woman, it's just not classy by any means!
Kim has continued to frustrate me when it comes to her pregnancy style. I was really rooting for her at one point, but every time I turn around she's wearing either something that's totally concealing her pregnancy or just straight up not flattering. Like that time she was seen in N.Y.C. sporting three different outfits. First it was a cream-colored mini skit and sheer lace blouse, then a very unflattering voluminous nude dress, following by a skin-tight, mustard yellow leather sheath dress paired with a black leather jacket. What's up with that?
After she was spotted wearing a chic, hip-hugging bejeweled gray dress leaving the Trump SoHo Hotel in New York City, I was starting to think she finally found a maternity look that worked for her. But a few bodycon dresses later, we're back to the same old craziness.
I understand that dressing for your pregnancy body isn't always easy, but accentuating your new curves and bump are the way to go. And I don't mean by literally showing it off with a midriff top!
