Lately, we've seen a lot of amazing things come out of Facebook, including heartwarming family reunions and the finding of long-lost pets. And hopefully, there will soon be another happy occasion to add to the list. In 1969, Virginia woman Crystal Dawn gave birth to a little girl, who was then adopted only four days later. Now, she's taking to social media to ask the public to help her find the daughter who she never got to know.
In a photo that has quickly gone viral on Facebook, Dawn holds a sign that reads, "Birth mother searching for daughter," along with the information of where the birth took place and a plea to "like and share" the shot. At the bottom of the sign, she wrote "I have always loved you." Aww! My eyes are welling up with tears all over again.
Apparently, Dawn has been wanting to find her daughter, but couldn't access the adoption records since they were sealed. That's when she decided to take matters into my own hands.

Though the Facebook photo plea has become a trend in recent months, this is the first in which I've seen a birth mom looking for her daughter and not vice vera. And I have to say, my heart goes out to Dawn for making this bold move. Oftentimes, parents who gave up their kids for adoption face criticism from the public, even when they don't know the reasoning behind it. I'm glad that this woman hasn't allowed that to stop her from seeking out her daughter she clearly desperately wants to find.
Hopefully, this photo will help the two find each other and provide a happy ending for both mother and daughter.
