After weeks of bleeding, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have lost their third child by miscarriage. The couple who have two other children, Luna, 4, and Miles, 2, announced that they had lost the baby late on Wednesday. Chrissy, who announced her pregnancy just one month ago, had been on bed rest for weeks due to what she described as a "weak" placenta.

In a heartbreaking Instagram post, Chrissy who had been sharing her experience on Instagram stories leading up to the miscarriage, posted photos of herself and John still at the hospital after losing the baby, saying, "We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before."
Chrissy's been in the hospital for days.
Earlier this week, Chrissy, 33, who had been in the hospital for several days after experiencing increased bleeding, chronicled her experience on her Instagram story, explaining to her followers that she has actually been feeling great, and asking them not to pity her. She later lightened things up, with a stream of stories on all of the snacks and junk food she had been eating while hospitalized.
She received two blood transfusions.
On Tuesday, Chrissy announced that she was about to have her second blood transfusion, but that everything was fine. "Baby and I are completely fine, just missing the little things like walking…cooking…playing with the other buttbutts," she included in her Instagram caption.
Chrissy has been on bed rest for weeks.
Prior to being hospitalized, Chrissy had been on bedrest for weeks due to the bleeding. She even shared a few photos of herself working from bed, but she seemed completely optimistic about the outcome of her pregnancy the entire time.
She gave a clue into the situation almost a month ago.
At the beginning of September, Chrissy shared a video of an ultrasound she had with both of her children and her husband John, 41, by her side, explaining that every bit of "spotting or pain" freaks her out until she can feel the baby move.
Chrissy and John did not expect to lose the baby.
Despite the issues she had with bleeding, Chrissy and John remained positive and thought the baby would make it, up until the miscarriage occurred. They explained that for the first time ever, they named their baby before it was born, so they were able to say goodbye to Jack. "Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever," Chrissy said.
They are home now.
"To our Jack – I'm so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn't give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you," Chrissy continued, later tweeting, "how can this be real," as she and John left the hospital devastated.
