This Latina mom, who has a wonderful blog about The Beautiful Circus that is her life, not only named her daughter Selina, but also threw her a Selena-themed birthday party that would floor just about anybody.

Lily is a DIY enthusiast, and her epic bash shows it. She made sure the celebration was complete with all things Selena, and the outcome was something to be proud of of. Little Selina even had a few wardrobe changes during the party, which although small in size, felt like a special celebration, focused of course on the birthday girl's love for the late singer. "I always wanted her to love Selena's music but you can't make someone like a certain type of music," Lily told us by e-mail. "And I wanted her to dress up as Selena for a while, but she wasn't feeling it. Then one day about two years ago, she stared to enjoy Selena's music…her favorite is the song 'BidiBidibombom' and she wanted a birthday party with that theme!"
The palette of colors was on point, the Bidibidbombom cake was a great touch, and Selina's outfits were simply to die for. Lily made of this small family gathering something truly special, and her baby's face said it all. Her sixth birthday celebration will be tough to forget for the little one, as her dream of being the Queen of Tex-Mex for a day was realized. Lily loves Selena and so does her 6-year-old Selina. And so, they found no better theme for the little girl's birthday celebration than putting together a Selena-themed party. Needless to say, it was a total hit!
The amount of work that went into the preparations was outrageous.
This Latina mom is a DIY lover and she went all out in the preparations for the big Bidibdibombom party. No detail was forgotten and everything was planned out carefully. The color scheme chosen was so Selena, and it gave the whole place a great ambiance to bask in the artist's legacy.

The little one has visited Selena's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, leaving red roses–the singer's favorite flowers–behind as a sign of respect to her artistry and legacy.

Selina felt like she was the Queen of Tex-Mex for a day, and her mom said that she couldn't wait to wear her denim vest, just like Selena used to.
She was the star of the show.

At the end of the day, a birthday party is supposed to about having a good time with friends, so enough about Selena–the highlight was to watch the birthday girl enjoy with her cousins and friends.
Of course, gifts also made Selina smile.
All dolled up like her idol, Selina had a blast during her Tex-Mex birthday extravaganza, but at the end of the day, every kid wants to open some gifts. Seli loved every minute when it came time to open presents.
This was a family affair, and everyone shared in the fun.
Everyone joined in the fun, and although Seli's three older brothers didn't dress up like the rest of the Quintanilla crew–one of them playing A.B. would have been great–the entire family had a blast at the party.
The red roses had to be there.
They were Selena's favorite flower, and they had to make an appearance. And where better than on the cake itself? The red roses always add an elegant touch.
And of course the meal of the day was pizza.
Because it was Selena's favorite food, and well, because it's pizza and it's always delicious.

What a great idea! Of course it deserved an extra long cake, but this is a super creative twist for this themed party and an amazing photo opp.
