A few years ago a woman in the U.K. gave birth just 45 minutes after finding out she was pregnant, and for the first time since having her son, Lisa Leathard is talking publicly about her unique and understandably shocking experience.

Earlier this month, Leathard was featured in her local newspaper in a story about women in her area that didn't know they were pregnant, and the details are absolutely unbelievable.
Apparently, Leathard was working full-time and in the process of moving and she was just so busy that she didn't even notice any unusual signs or symptoms.
Ultrasounds don't lie.
The couple, who married in 2012, never planned on having children, so a potential pregnancy wasn't even on their radar when Lisa began experiencing extreme abdominal pain. Even the paramedics were stumped until they did an ultrasound at the hospital and found the baby. At that point, Lisa describes a bit of chaos as the medical staff attempted to set her up to deliver quickly.
It's a miracle he was born full-term.
A lack of prenatal care can be associated with pre-term delivery and low birth weight, but by some miracle their son, Toby, was born weighing 7 pounds and 7 ounces, and appeared to be full-term. The doctors didn't know what to expect, but after a quick check-up, they returned the healthy newborn to his stunned parents. Can you even imagine what was going through their minds?!
They must enjoy parenthood.
Lisa describes experiencing some postpartum depression and post-traumatic stress disorder starting when her son was about 16 months old, but says she got through it with proper medical help and therapy.
But even though she and her husband never thought they would have children, they must have taken well to parenthood–little Toby got a brother in 2016, and they look like such a happy family.
Some things--even if they're shocking--are just meant to be.
I guess their path to parenthood goes to show that some things are meant to be and that they are just going to happen whether we plan for them or not. I'm sure they couldn't have asked for a happier accident.
