Hillary Duff is an affectionate mama bear. The actress was recently bashed for sharing this controversial photo. In it, Duff is seen kissing her 4-year-old son Luca Cruz Comrie on the lips while on a trip to Disney. People went off on how inappropriate and wrong this is. Duff fired back and her response was exactly what I would've told the haters.

People sounded off about Duff's photo as if it was the most evil thing they've seen. One woman who wrote, "Kissing your child on the lips is not necessary." Another person wrote, "I don't mean to judge by any chance. But, kissing your kids on the lips it's not right." Duff did get an outpour of support, too.
The best result to come out of all this madness was Duff's reaction to it. She posted this blunt message, which read, "For anyone commenting that a kiss on the lips with my four year old is "inappropriate" go ahead and click a quick unfollow with your warped minds and judgement." YES!
Duff's reaction is spot on. As a mother of a 1-year-old, I kiss my son on the lips and I'm super affectionate with him. I think people take offense because they see it as an adult action and peg it to something that's sexual, but this is is quite the opposite and not associated with any of that nasty stuff.
When you make a human and carry him in your womb for 9 months, you earn the right to kiss them and show love. I can see this being inappropriate once he becomes a teen, but even that is left up for debate.
If it makes you feel uncomfortable and doesn't work for your family, that's cool, but don't bash someone else for how they want to raise their children. I see love in this action. As Duff said, you can unfollow her if you don't agree.
