While a 3 and 4-month-old's brain isn't completely developed yet, they're able to flex their high visual skills. For the study, 42 babies were placed to look at 3D objects and researchers measured how long the babies stared at each item. Most of the babies showed shape and color associations, which is pretty impressive for their age!

A newborn urinates about every 20 minutes. No wonder a lot of diapers get tossed in the beginning! By 6 months, your baby will pee about once an hour.

A newborn's skin is ultra sensitive and very thin. This explains why babies tend to have cold hands and feet. Be sure to make skin-to-skin contact and dress them in layers even in the summer.

Research conducted by Canadian and Chinese obstetricians and psychologists in 2014, found that infants are able to identify their mom's voice in the womb. A fetus starts to hear at 30 weeks and starts to grow a natural association. They found that a baby's heart pumps quicker after hearing their mom's voice, which is also known as a "attention mechanism."

Okay, so babies may be born with no kneecaps, but they are also born with more bones than adults. Babies are born with 300 bones while grownups have 206. The decrease in number happens because some bones end up fusing together as babies grow.

Up until they are about 1 month old, if a baby smiles it’s probably gas. After that, if they smile when you are trying to make them smile it’s because they think you’re a gas!

A baby is born with eyes that are about 75 percent the size that their adult eyes will be. That explains why some babies look like they are all eyes.

Okay, well technically they have more taste buds than adults. Babies are born with taste buds on the back, sides and roof of their mouths as well as on their tongues. Eventually the extra taste buds go bye bye.
