Needing a pick-me-up on this Monday afternoon? I have just the thing to brighten your day! Meet Beau and Theo, an adorable toddler and puppy duo that is melting hearts all around the world with their ridiculously cute naptime ritual.

As California mom Jessica Shyba explained on her blog, Momma's Gone City, she and her family brought home a puppy from the Santa Cruz SCPA last week. They named him Theo and he and her almost 23-month-old son, Beau, have quickly formed what Shyba calls "an organic and beautiful friendship." In fact, they're so close that they not only play together during the day–they also take daily afternoon naps together, which (as can be seen in the photos below) make for one of the most precious sights EVER.

"Each day, Theo meets us at naptime and waits patiently for Beau to fall asleep," Shyba writes of the two's naptime routine. "By that time, he's also sleepy, so when I hoist him onto our bed, he stumbles over to Beau and plops right down on top of him. And there they sleep, entwined, for at least two hours."

The whole thing is so cute that Shyba couldn't resist capturing the two little guys on camera, the results of which have since spurred a heartwarming series of photos on Instagram and even their very own hashtag, #TheoandBeau.

I'm not surprised that Shyba's snapshots have gone viral. I mean, are the photos not one of the sweetest things you'd ever seen?! I think you'd have to be made of stone to resist the sight of Beau and Theo cuddling together! I'm just glad that Shyba decided to share the pictures with the world. They definitely made my day!
