1. Funny faces. Teach your child the words in Spanish for basic emotions like happy, sad, angry and tired and then call them out and have him make the corresponding face. Making faces is always fun, just make sure to repeat the names of each emotion several times.

2. Memory. Both my kids love playing memory and with so many options out there the possibilities are endless. You can use the game to teach your kids colors, shapes and basic vocabulary words like animals, foods and places.

3. Simon Says. Another fun game to get your kids speaking some basic Spanish. Give simple directions and you can teach your kids the parts of the body and basic commands like jump, sit or stand still.

4. Jump rope. Not only do you get them outside and exercising, but you can also practice counting in Spanish if you jump rope with them. If their Spanish is more advanced, you can teach them a few traditional jump rope rhymes and songs.

5. I Spy. Or "veo, veo" as it's known in Spanish. The best thing about this guessing game is that you can play it pretty much anywhere: in the house, in the car, at the store. Imagine all the new vocabulary words your kids can learn!
