I got pregnant fairly quickly with both my kids, so I have no idea what it means to want to have a baby and not be able to. But I do know enough women who've gone through this ordeal to recognize it must be difficult, frustrating and exhausting–to say the least. That's why I'm disgusted by a couple who got pregnant via IVF and then had the audacity to complain they were utterly unhappy when they found out they were being blessed with twin boys.

Using the pseudonyms Albert and Paula Garland, the couple each wrote a brutally honest account for Babble.com about how horrified, angry and regretful they were to learn they were having twins. And I can assure you that reading these posts will enrage you–especially the part where they admit they considered aborting one of the fetuses.
But that's not all. The mom goes as far as saying that once she found out she was expecting twins, she felt like she had "ruined her family." Who says stuff like this?
The Garlands explain that they had been trying to give their older son a little sister for nearly two years, but it wasn't happening naturally, so they decided to explore other options. Were they not aware that having twins was a huge possibility when they turned to IVF after exhausting other possibilites? I mean, if you're going to go this route, you should at least know what the possible outcomes, don't you think?
I feel terrible for these little boys, but I hope to God that their parents change their minds once they meet them. I also hope the twins never find out what their parents wrote about them because I can't imagine how devastating that would be.
