At first I thought, dang, she must have really been hungry for some Pop-Tarts! I wonder if she would have called the cops if her son took her brocolli without permission?
According to the police report, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department was called and the juvenile was arrested. His misdemeanor charge will be handled in juvenile court. Really? Did he eat the whole package or just one tart? Is it really worth making use of police resources for this kind of offense? It seems like a total waste of time, energy, and money as far as I'm concerned.
Love has been having disciplinary issues with her son and had him arrested not just because he took her tasty treats without permission, but also to teach him a lesson.
Hmmm, I realize that dealing with a misbehaving child is difficult and that you want to show them that there are consequences for their actions, but I'm not sure that Pop-Tarts should be used as the impetus for calling the cops on your child. Maybe he could have been punished for that particular offense by having to eat an oatcake.
