Just three months after giving birth to son Livingston, Camila Alves McConaughey is already back at work as the spokesmodel for Macy's I.N.C. line. But while many celebrities would insist that balancing career and baby is no big deal (and make every other parent feel inadequate in the process), Camila doesn't bother to put up any fronts. In fact, in a recent interview with People magazine, the 30-year-old Brazilian mother of three openly admitted that juggling the two different aspects of her life can be very stressful.
"It's hard to be back to work with such full force early on because your brain is not fully there. You have baby brain," she said.
Um, can I just point out how rare and refreshing it is to hear a celebrity actually admit that they're not superhuman and that raising kids while having a career is hard? Finally, someone who tells it like it is!

"I was on The View answering a question and halfway through, I lost my train of thought. You just laugh at it," Camila said, admitting that her hectic schedule has her feeling completely scatterbrained. Well, I'm pretty sure that's a state of mind that every mother can relate to–especially since the star says that a large portion of her chaotic days is dedicated to breastfeeding!
"It's three little ones that need mom all at the same time," she said. "I'm running to dinner, running back to breastfeed, go do this, run back to breastfeed, breastfeed all night, start your day at 5 a.m., lack of sleep–all of it."
Personally, I love that Camila is so honest and upfront about the trials and tribulations of mommyhood. The truth is, parenting is hard, no matter who you are or what your job is. But for reasons I don't really understand, some celebrities feel the need to make it seem like its all peaches and roses. To me, that's plain silly, not to mention unrealistic. After all, aren't the hard parts of parenthood what make being a mom or dad all the more rewarding?
