Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, proud parents to 19 children, are not just open to the idea of adoption, they are praying on it. Wow! I have to say I'm impressed. I only have two kids and the idea of adding another seems monumental, not that I wouldn't consider adoption, I totally would and think adoption is grand, but I don't already have 19 kids and counting. But I guess when you have 19, what's one more? Especially if it is a child in desperate need of parents, a loving family, and a home.
It seems that the entire Duggar family was moved by a recent visit to an orphanage in China. The visit to Beijing was filmed as part of a a TLC special, 19 Kids and Counting: Duggars Do Asia (classy title, NOT).

Michelle has shared that praying about the quesiton of adoption has been going on not just between her and her husband, but that the whole family in general has been praying about it. "The kids are definitely pushing towards wanting us to open our home up to another child or more," says Michelle in an interview to People.
The question of why they have to pray about adopting is best answered by Michelle:
"When he gives us a child [through pregnancy], there is no doubt in our minds that is what He wants, but when it comes to adoption, we would have to know for sure that was His will."
I'm sure we will find out soon enough the answer to their adoption prayers.
