Latin baby names inspired by royalty perfect for Kate & Will!

It's official! Kate Middleton is going to be a mommy! The royal palace confirmed this morning that the Duchess of Cambridge is FINALLY pregnant and that only means one thing: a little prince or princess will be born!

Okay, it may be a bit early to determine what the gender of the baby is, but it doesn't mean that Princess Kate and Prince William can't come up with names for their new addition. And our people having some experience with royalty, want to lend a helping hand to the royal family in naming their little one. How exciting!

Like every girl I wish I had been born a princess and been spoiled rotten, but alas some dreams don't come true. Luckily this new bundle of joy will get everything they want and then some, but first they need a catchy royal name. This can be tough to come up with since the English royal family has worn out pretty much all their names.

However, our minds started remembering some pretty cool Spanish royalty names and we found some that just may work for the new prince or princess. Check out our list of Royal Latin baby names for Kate Middleton and Prince William's newest addition!

Boys names:

Felipe: Naming the prince after the son of King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia would give a different ring to the number of names British royalty already has.

Juan Carlos: Naming him after Spain's King Juan Carlos would be an honor as the king is well liked by native Spaniards and has successfully reigned since the late 1970s.

Alfonso: King Alfonso XIII would be an excellent name for Prince William's potential son because according a French newspaper, he was considered the most loved and happiest rulers on earth. King Alfonso suspended the exercise of royal power before going into exile and handing over the reign to his son Juan (King Juan Carlos' father).

Ferdinando: King Ferdinand was the reason Spain became united under an all Catholic religion. It also became the best administered country in all of Europe. So why wouldn't the royal couple want to name their son after this powerful monarch?

Girls' names:

Sofia: Originally Queen Sofia hails from Greek royalty, but she joined Spanish royalty after she wed the late King Juan Carlos. The queen is quite articulate and knows Greek, Spanish, French, English, and German.

Victoria: After marrying King Alfonso in 1906, Queen Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg Catalina became involved in helping the poor and is most known for reorganizing the Spanish Red Cross.  There are even various landmarks named after her in Spain.

Letizia: Princess Letizia is mostly known as Prince Felipe's wife. She is a former journalist and controversially a "commoner," but now focuses on social issues such as culture and education. She gives us regular girls' hope that someday we can marry into royalty too!

Isabella: Princess Isabella was the youngest royal to take the throne after her father King Ferdinand VII passed away when she was 3-years-old.

Although we don't know yet what the royal family is expecting, these are a few good suggestions they could take into consideration when naming the baby. We'll keep an eye out for further baby news and who knows perhaps Kate and Prince William will get inspired by our list!
