Pregnancy warning: Keep your cell phone away from your belly!

With so many contradictory health studies coming out all the time, it's always hard to know which one to believe in–especially when you're pregnant. But because it's alway better to be safe than sorry, if you're expecting, you should probably heed the advice given by Yale School of Medicine researchers and watch how you use your cell phone. That's because their new study argues that radition exposure from cell phone usage affects fetal brain development and could end up causing hyperactivity.

The study was done with pregnant mice and researchers found that one their offspring became young adults, "these mice were basically bouncing off the walls and didn't have a care in the world," according to the study's co-author Dr. Hugh Taylor.

Now, some people might think that just because the mice demonstrated such behavior after being exposed to cell phones while in utero, doesn't necessarily mean the same thing will happen to humans. But why take chances, right?

Dr. Taylor recommends that expectant mothers be very careful when they use their cell phones and advices them to keep the devices as far away from their bodies as possible. In fact, so do cell phone manufactures, but who actually listens to these warnings these days?

The thing is that it's really not that difficult to do once you get a hands-free device to use when talking on your cell phone. An extra step that could prevent your unborn child from brain development problems and other future issues when they're older. So why not do it?
