As if drunking driving by yourself isn't bad enough, a 39-year-old Florida mom was recently arrested after she drove her kids to their elementary school while under the influence…and repeatedly crashed into a parked car in the process!
Patricia Libby was dropping her kids off for a class trip on Thursday morning, when she reportedly hit a Smart car while pulling into a parking space. Instead of stopping the car and assessing the damage as most would have done, Libby reversed and crashed into the vehicle again….and then repeated the process, hitting the Smart car for a THIRD time! Seriously?!

But it gets even worse. As the parents of other students watched in shock__, Libby then got out of the car and walked her kids into school as if nothing happened.__ After police arrived, authorities said they could smell alcohol on Libby, who failed the sobriety test several times. She was arrested on charges including DUI, property damage and child neglect.
I will never understand why anyone think it's OK to drive under the influence. It's selfish and incredibly dangerous not only to the driver, but to everyone else in the vicinity. But to do so while there are young, innocent kids in the car?! That is just unacceptable. This mom should be thankful that there was no one in that parked car and that she didn't hurt anyone, including her own kids!
Now, I just hope that Libby is aptly punished for her crime and that her children are put in someone else's care since she obviously cannot be trusted with her kid's wellbeing.
