Autumn Pasquale: 12-year-old missing girl’s body found in recycling bin (VIDEO)

I can't even begin to imagine the pain and suffering that Autumn Pasquale's parents must be enduring right now. The 12-year-old's remains were found late Monday night in a recycling bin near her Clayton, New Jersey home–and word has just been released that the body has been positively identified as that of Autumn. The young girl had been missing since the weekend when she went out for a bike ride around her neighborhood.

The pre-teen girl was last seen on Saturday afternoon at about 12:30 p.m. leaving her house on her bike and heading to a friend's house. Her parents reported her missing to police that night, after they realized Autumn never made it to her destination. Since then, hundreds of volunteers, local and state police, and even the FBI joined forces in trying to locate the missing New Jersey girl. But grim reality set in just last night Monday when authorities reported that a body found was possibly that of the young girl; and confirmation that it was indeed Autumn's body was released just a few minutes ago today.

I can't stop thinking of Autumn's parents, her family, and the pain they must be enduring right now. I'm sure they never even imagined that Saturday would be the last day they'd see their daughter alive.

Who could have done such a horrible thing to this young girl? To add to the sadness, the family was going to celebrate her 13th birthday this coming Monday, October 29. Without a doubt, this type of senseless crime reminds us that there are bad people everywhere, and we should always, ALWAYS be careful with our kids, especially when letting them go out on their own. I know this town seemed idyllic and residents thought it was perfectly safe, but this case is a lesson that we should always be on the look-out and always vigilant about our kids. As Autumn's own uncle Paul Spadofora said during the news conference: "There's evil everywhere, even in the small town of Clayton."
