Since she announced her pregnancy, I've argued on behalf of Team Snooki and have defended her against the haters and critics. But I have to admit her latest pregnancy faux pas is making it very hard for me to remember why. After refusing to give up her high heels throughout her pregnancy, the expectant Jersey Shore star took a fall while wearing tall platform sandals. My question is WHY is she even wearing them?!

While filming the sixth season of Jersey Shore in Seaside Heights this week, she took a tumble in her heels. Luckily, she wasn't seriously injured but the whole thing got me wondering why she is still refusing to just put on some damn flats! At this point in her pregnancy (her baby boy is due later this summer), wearing such high heels is no longer cute, it's dangerous.
The reality star has previously touched upon the issue, telling Us Weekly, "I'm going to wear heels throughout. I'm 24, not 50!" I totally agree that women can remain stylish while pregnant but I don't think it's worth putting yourself or your baby at risk. Perhaps at the beginning of a pregnancy, wearing decently-sized heels is OK, but at such a late stage sky-high shoes are just silly and impractical.
Besides being a jeans-and-t-shirt kinda girl, I firmly believe you can look just as fashionable in a cute pair of flats or sandals. And come on, hasn't every girl wished, at some point or another, for an excuse to leave the painful heels at home anyway? Why would Snooki or any other very pregnant woman want to make her life more difficult?

And insisting on rocking ridiculously high heels isn't the only questionable thing Snooki has done throughout her pregnancy. She caused a lot of disbelief and head-shaking when she was quoted saying "I'm kind of scared of baby monitors, because I believe in the paranormal, and I believe ghosts will come through it" and "I read that your baby can feel your orgasm. What does he think it is? Does he see, like, rainbows and unicorns?" Sigh. Oh Snooki–love her or hate her, she's definitely not boring.
