I’m sure that there are a lot of perks that come with being part of a famous family, but dang it, I do not envy the Cyrus family right now because the gossip surrounding them is kind of scandalous. Just to be clear, when I say the “Cyrus family,” I mean the family that includes Miley Cyrus. Sources have been claiming that Tish Cyrus, Miley’s mom, stole her current husband Dominic Purcell of Prison Break fame from Miley’s younger sister Noah Cyrus. Crazy, right?

What does Miley have to do with any of this? Well, Tish and Dominic’s wedding, which Noah did not attend, was held at Miley’s home. Not only that, Miley was her mother’s maid of honor. Does that mean that Miley knew that Dominic and Noah dated before he dated and married Tish and that Miley was totally unbothered?
According to one of the many sources coming out of the Cyrus family woodwork, Miley didn’t have a clue, but now that she does and…keep reading to find out how she allegedly reacted.
The supposed order of things was shared by a source.
"Noah and Dominic were seeing each other in a friends with benefits way, off and on. They stopped seeing each other and then Tish started something up," a source told People according to an article published on March 1.
During the February 6 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, Tish explained her history with Dominic and how she reached out to him via social media after she filed for divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus in 2022.
Was Tish aware of her daughter’s previous ‘friends with benefits’ situation with Dominic?
According to the source cited by People on March 1: "Tish knew he had been seeing Noah." The source also claims that although Tish didn’t start dating Dominic until after Noah stopped seeing him, Noah “was offended” that her mom married the Prison Break actor in August 2023.
Did mother and daughter discuss things before the wedding?
"Tish never gave Noah the chance to talk about all of this before they got married," the source explained. It should be noted that Noah did not attend her mother’s wedding to Dominic even though it was held at Miley’s house, which is super close to where Noah lives. Instead Noah spent the day hanging out with brother Braison, who also didn’t attend the wedding.
How does Miley fit in to all this alleged drama?
On March 3, People published an article, which quotes a source as saying: “Miley had no idea about the drama with Dominic. No idea at all.” OK, but at some point, Miley found out.
"She confronted her mom about it. She thinks it’s a strange situation, but she loves her mom and wants her to be happy," the source added. It’s definitely a “strange situation” if any of it is true.
There could be another reason why Noah didn’t attend her mother’s wedding.
One source that spoke to People, shared that Tish and Billy Ray’s divorce was not “easy for any of the kids” and that the “separation was really hard, but it was long overdue.”
Supposedly, Noah is very close and loyal to Billy Ray, so maybe she didn’t feel comfortable attending the wedding because she didn’t want to hurt her dad. That’s total conjecture on my part, but some of these many sources that seem to be speaking on this alleged family feud have a similar opinion.
There’s also been speculation that Miley is in some kind of a fight with her dad because she didn’t thank him when she won her first Grammy at the awards ceremony in February 2024. Some are saying Noah took her dad’s side on the divorce and Miley took her mom’s side.
Tish married Dominic only a little over a year after her divorce from Billy Ray Cyrus.
Tish and Billy Ray were together for 30 years. They welcomed three children together: Miley, Braison, and Noah. Tish also has two children from a previous relationship: Brandi and Trace. During their marriage, they filed for divorce twice, but reconciled. Then in 2022, Tish filed for divorce and they split for good.
Billy Ray and Tish released a joint statement in April 2022.
"It is after 30 years, five amazing children and a lifetime of memories, we have decided to go our separate ways—not with sadness, but with love in our hearts," the joint statement they issued reads. "We have grown up together, raised a family we can be so proud of, and it is now time to create our own paths."
"We will always be family and look forward to a continued and loving shared experience as friends and parents. We have not come to this decision lightly or quickly but with so much going on in the world, we wanted to provide some clarity and closure, so we can remain focused on what is important With Love and Hope…Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus."
Remember to take all of this with a grain of salt.
I can’t even keep track of all the anonymous inside sources talking to various media outlets. But, so far, none of the main players in this rumored love triangle involving Tish, Noah, and Dominic have actually gone on the record about any of it. Until they do, it’s just hearsay as far as I’m concerned.
And just so you know, Noah is engaged.
If this Dominic drama is true, it's not like Noah is pining away from him. On June 26, 2023, Noah announced via social media that she got engaged to artist Pinkus.
In the since deleted post, Noah wrote:
“The greatest moment of my entire life was saying ‘yes’ to spending the rest of ours together,” her caption read. “This past month of being your fiancé and being in our own little world of just us two has been so perfect and I wish I could never leave this time.”
