To recap, Kim, 44, was married to the rapper/Yeezy mogul, now known as Ye, from 2014 to 2022. They welcomed their first child, North West, in 2013, followed by a son, Saint West, in 2015. Their younger two kids, daughter Chicago and son Psalm West, were born in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
Kim Kardashian recently admitted she sometimes feels 'alone' while co-parenting with Kanye West.
On November 12, Kim appeared on the iHeartRadio podcast What in the Winkler? hosted by her friend, Zoe Winkler (the daughter of actor Henry Winkler).
“I think you and I’ve mostly connected on parenting,” Kim told Zoe. “And judgment, and feeling like sometimes you’re in this alone, even though we have great support systems and we have people around us.”
Additionally, she pointed out that she's 'basically raising four kids by myself.'
“But sometimes in the middle of the night, when they’re all sleeping in your bed kicking you and crying and waking up,” Kim continued. “It’s not something that I talk about a lot because I feel like there is always a lot of judgment or people always will jump to the, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help.’ And I just think that no matter what kind of help I have, basically raising four kids by myself.”
Kim dished on the chaos of school drop-off.
Like many parents, Kim gets flustered during the chaos of her kids’ morning routines.
“I mean even carpool this morning, I had five kids that I had to take,” she said on the podcast. “And everyone wants to leave at like different times or wants different stuff. And I feel like I’m at like a pit stop of a race car driver.”
Previously, the KKW mogul confessed to sometimes 'crying herself to sleep.'
In May 2023, Kim appeared on the On Purpose With Jay Shetty podcast, where she opened up about being a single parent.
“It has been the most challenging thing,” she shared “There are nights I cry myself to sleep. Like, holy s—, this f—ing tornado in my house. Like, what just happened?”
Kim said co-parenting is 'really f---ing hard.'
In December 2022, Kim chatted with Angie Martinez on her IRL Podcast. The Skims founder dished on her experience co-parenting North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5, with Ye after their divorce was finalized that November. “It’s hard,” she admitted. “Co-parenting—it’s really f—ing hard.”
Still, she actively avoids bad-mouthing her kids' father.
“I definitely protected [Ye] and I still will,” Kim said on the IRL Podcast. “In the eyes of my kids, for my kids. So in my home, my kids don’t know anything that goes on—on the outside world. And I’ve managed to do that. I’m holding on by a thread—I know I’m like so close to that not happening.”
The mom of four added, “I had the best dad. I have the best memories and the greatest experience. And that’s all I want for my kids. As long as they can have that, that’s what I would want for them.”
