Here we go again with the rumors that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are on the rocks. I mean, honestly, do these rumors ever stop? Nope. There is always some source that is allegedly an insider talking chisme to any publication that will listen about how Ben and Jen are supposedly miserable and just about to call it quits. It sure would be nice to know if these insider sources are getting paid by the publications for these so-called scoops, wouldn’t it? So, what are these “sources” saying about Bennifer right about now?

Oh, you know, just that Jennifer is about “to be the next Gone Girl” in Ben’s Hollywood portfolio. According to an “insider” that spoke to Page Six—a gossip site that says it does not pay sources for tips—Ben has finally “come to his senses” and realized that his marriages with women named Jennifer just aren’t destined to be forever. I’m paraphrasing and being cheeky, of course, because Ben’s ex-wife is Jennifer Garner. Anyway, enough of my paraphrasing. Check out what the latest loose-lipped insiders are saying about the state of Bennifer 2.0.

Jennifer has been busy promoting her new movie Atlas. For the Mexico premiere, Jen was on the red carpet all by herself. Meanwhile, Ben was seen hanging out in Santa Monica, California. Alert the press! This must mean that they now hate each other, right? Because why on Earth wouldn’t Ben be by Jen’s side at every dang red carpet she ever walks.
While Jen was in Mexico promoting her film, Ben was in California.
Ben was seen in Santa Monica, California, outside of Giorgio Baldi, a popular luxe Italian eatery. He was dressed casually in a blue shirt and khaki pants. And, yes, he was wearing his wedding band, even if you can't see it in some of the pics taken of him.
Could it be that they are both just super busy superstars with conflicting schedules?
Maybe since Ben was also spotted on the set of the movie The Accountant 2, he opted not to go to Mexico with his wifey because his schedule wouldn't allow. But according to an “insider” that blabbed to Page Six there’s more to it. Said insider stated that Ben has “come to his senses” about his marriage to Jen.
Never mind that both Jen and Ben continue to wear their wedding rings and haven’t given any credence to rumors of their split. Also, it isn’t unheard of for celebrity couples not to do red carpets together. Ever heard of Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes?
Apparently, Ben was insane when he married J.Lo.
“If there was a way to divorce on grounds of temporary insanity, he would,” the Page Six source shared. Wow! So, the only explanation for Ben marrying Jen is temporary insanity. Poor Ben. He was loco in love.
Are we to believe Jen is some kind of virus?
“He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work,” the source declared. Way to cast Jen as some kind of virus to get over.
Oh, and supposedly Jen liking a social media post is also a sign of their troubled marriage.
Jen liked a post about how you can’t build a relationship with someone lacking in integrity and so forth. Well, you would think that her liking a perfectly reasonable post about red flags to look for in a relationship was her saying that Ben has exhibited all those red flags the way people are reacting.
Another supposed sign of their marriage being in trouble is that Ben didn’t go to the Met Gala.
Jen was one of the cochairs of this year’s event in early May and Ben didn’t go with her. So what? Maybe it’s not his jam. Maybe he was busy. Maybe they are OK doing their own thing. Maybe it’s nobody’s business why he didn’t go.
There have also been reports that the couple are living apart.

It's been reported they are in therapy.
In Touch reported on May 16 that Ben and Jen are going to therapy to work on their relationship issues. If they are, good for them as there is nothing bad about going to therapy.
“Ben believes in therapy, to a point, and is willing to be a good sport about participating with an open mind, even though he hates the whole humiliating process,” a source told In Touch. “He’s never going to gauge the success of this marriage by what happens in the therapist’s office. He also has a higher tolerance for conflict and having to fight to get his way than the average guy.”
Let's keep in mind that these two can’t go anywhere, together or apart, without their marriage being judged.
Remember when they went to the 2023 Grammys together and everyone thought Ben looked miserable. Well, the thing is that’s just his face. The thing is that Ben has a way of looking miserable whenever he’s not smiling. That’s literally just his face.
Jen even made a joke about it.
After the Grammys resting Ben face bruhaha, Jen posted a trailer for Ben’s film Air and the cover image is Ben in character for them film looking all grouchy and a text overlay that reads: “My Husband’s Happy Face.” Seriously, that’s just his face most of the time.
Can we just see how Bennifer 2.0 plays out instead of always imagining the worst?
Bennifer called off their engagement in 2004 partly because of the ridiculous amount of attention they were getting from paparazzi and the media in general. They both went on about their lives and found their way back to each other in 2021.
They got married twice in 2022: once in Las Vegas and a second time on Ben’s Georgia estate. Since their marriage, I feel like their relationship is constantly being picked apart. I hope they ignore all the outside noise and just keep making their own metaphorical music together.
