New couple alert! Christian Nodal and Ángela Aguilar have confirmed that they are dating. It might seem soon for Christian to be in a new relationship considering it was just weeks ago that he broke up with Argentine trap musician Julieta “Cazzu” Cazzucheli with whom he shares a child, but he’s known Ángela for years. So the romantic part of their relationship may be new, but they’ve been in each other’s lives since 2018.

The lovebirds even told Hola! that it’s not really a “new relationship,” but more of a “continuation of a story.” I’ll give you the whole quote below and a bunch of other details about the new couple, their history, plus some pictures and even a video of their first onstage kiss. Love is in the air for sure for these two.
They toured together in 2018.
On January 10, 2018, Ángela and brother Leonardo Aguilar joined their dad Pepe Aguilar at a press conference announcing their Jaripeo Sin Fronteras tour. They also announced that they would be joined on tour by Christian Nodal. At the time, Ángela was just shy of 15 and Christian was 19. Basically, they were babies.
A week later, they promoted the tour on ‘El Show de Piolin.’
Christian, Ángela, and Leonardo were there. Christian even brought his mom with him and they performed together. Watching the video, I just can’t get over Ángela’s cuteness. She’s just delightful.
In 2019, they reunited for ‘Premios Juventud.’
They were both up for the same award in the category of Agave de la Música Mexicana. They also shared the stage with Pipe Buena and wowed with their performances of songs like “Volver, Volver” and “Cielito Lindo.”
In 2019, they cut a ribbon together.
In November 2019, Ángela and Christian were invited to the Grammy Museum to in Los Angeles be part of the Latin Music Gallery ribbon cutting ceremony. What an honor for the both of them!
In 2020, they collaborated for the first time.
They both lent their talents to the song “Dime Cómo Quieres.” The song climbed to No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart in January 2021. At the time, Ángela was 17 and became the youngest female lead to have gotten No. 1 on that chart.
In 2022, they took to the stage at ‘Premio Lo Nuestro.’
They were part of a beautiful tribute to Vicente Fernandez, who died in December 2021. They shared the stage with other artists including Eduin Cas, Camilo, David Bisbal, and AB Luna.
On May 23, 2024, Christian announced he and Cazzu broke up.
"The time has come to share that Julieta and I are taking our separate paths," Christian shared via his Instagram Stories. He and Cazzu started dating in 2022 and welcomed their daughter Inti in September 2023.
"Our love and mutual respect remain strong, especially in our role as parents to our wonderful daughter, Inti. I am deeply grateful for the moments we shared and will always carry those memories fondly," he continued.
On June 10, Ángela and Christian confirmed they are a couple.
The confirmation came via an article and pictures published by Hola! The article refers to them as “The new power couple in music.” It also claims that “very much in love and excited about this new stage of their lives.”
'Hola!' quotes the couple as saying:
“It is not a new relationship; it’s the continuation of a story that life made us pause so we could grow and miss each other. Because when we let go, we returned even closer.”
On June 11, Christian denies cheating rumors.
On June 11, 2024, Christian posted a video on Instagram perhaps as a reaction to fan speculation that he cheated on Cazzu with Ángela.
"I know many of you today found out that Ángela and I officially are in a relationship," Christian started off saying. He went on to say that out of respect for everyone involved, he wanted to provide some context.
“First of all, Julieta is a person I love and who has my respect for life. We are public figures, we are artists, but we are not experts at life,” he explained. “Love doesn’t always work. Our cycle together ended in the best possible way.”
“It was a love that gave us the most precious gift that could have come to us in life, the most beautiful thing we could have done together, which is Inti, my daughter, who I will always love, who I will always take care of. And in that relationship there never existed any third parties, there was never any infidelity. Sometimes love just doesn’t work out.”
“And now I find myself living a beautiful experience with a woman that I love and with a love that took so many years to become what it is now,” he said about his relationship with Ángela.
Then came their first public kiss!
On June 11, Ángela surprised fans when she took the stage at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City during Christian’s concert. They sang together, they kissed, and when Christian asked her why she was so flirty, she responded: “Because you’re my boyfriend, Christian!”
Long live love!
Christian is right, love doesn't always work out. That's why when we find it, when we feel it, when we're in the middle of it, we should celebrate it. Love should never be taken for granted.
