Adamari López's second book is a beautiful and painfully honest memoir about her parent's death, facing infertility after breast cancer, her pregnancy at 43 and her first days as a mom. It also captures some tough times with fiancee Toni Costa. The book even includes a message to her ex husband Luis Fonsi. Read on to find out other surprises in Amando.

Toni Costa is not in the dedication
The dedication reads:
To my siblings Adilsa, Adaline and Adalberto, for being a source of love. I'd feel lost without you. You are my guides, my friends and part of the craziness that is my life. Every day more united, every day loving each other more.
She miscarried a baby before Alaïa
She had a very dangerous ectopic pregnancy that had to be ended. I can't imagine the pain.
Televisa came knocking, but ...
The Mexican network offered her a part in 2014's Ya no creo en los hombres. Ada turned them down and the novela, which starred Adriana Louvier and Gabriel Soto, ended up being a huge success.
She went through two failed IVF rounds
In Amando, she describes the injections, the procedures and the sadness. It moved me to tears.
Her relationship with Toni Costa was on the rocks
Adamari is blunt in Amando about how her quest to get pregnant created havoc in her relationship with Toni and explains how they worked through tough times.
Covering Jenni Rivera's and Lorena Rojas' deaths happened at the worst time
In a weird coincidence, Adamari had to cover the news of the death of Jenni Rivera on Un Nuevo Día, only a few days after the passing of her mom Vidalina. The same thing happened when the news of Lorena Rojas' death hit the news: Adamari's dad Don Luis passed away at almost the same time.
She had many problems during her pregnancy, including diabetes
That must have been so scary! She even had problems with the amniotic liquid and had to be hospitalized. I cringed reading some of the details.
Toni Costa and the delivery
He was there all the way, even helping her with the most intimate things that no woman wants her man to do for her. You will fall in love with Toni. Guaranteed!
The message for Luis Fonsi
Her words show where her heart is regarding the Puerto Rican singer and their love story. Here's a part of them:
[As for my ex,] I'll always wish him and his family the best, and I'm very happy that now both of us have the lives we deserve and we've left our pasts in the past.
Her conditions to getting married
They are a family. They are in love. They have a daughter, but Adamari has a clear idea of what she wants and won't say "I do" until Toni achieves financial stability. Her reasons in the book make sense to me.
