650 lb woman loses half her body weight & you have to see her! (PHOTO)

Doctors warned Amber Rachdi that she would be dead at 30 years of age and she decided to do something about it. The 24-year-old woman weighed a remarkable 657 pounds and felt like she was "trapped" in her own body. The amount of pain, discomfort and depression Rachdi must have endured is just heartbreaking. It takes courage to finally decide to change your entire lifestyle. Last fall, Rachdi was able to get gastric bypass surgery and has since lost half of her body weight. She looks like a new person now! Her journey is truly remarkable.

Rachdi shared her weight loss struggle on TLC's My 600 Pound Life. In the episode, Rachdi explains, "Sometimes my dad would make snide comments about my size and that would hurt me. I wish I could be self-sufficient and successful and show the world I'm made of so much more but as long as I'm big, as long as I'm obese, I will never be able to be that person."

It's so disappointing to hear that her own dad was being discouraging and tearing her down. She was obese even as a child, which tells me that he also failed her as a child. His harsh words probably caused her to overeat even more.

Thankfully, the Houston based woman was able to get support and encouragement from her boyfriend and slowly changed her diet and began to exercise after the surgery. She shared this photo of her hitting the gym and pushing herself to do sit-ups. I'm sure Rachdi has inspired so many people at home going through a similar struggle to make a life changing shift.
