Everyone's talking about the 19-year-old English woman and that's because her story will surely serve as inspiration to thousands of domestic abuse victims. "My ex left me completely broken on both the inside and out," she said with tears in her eyes. "It was so horrific being attacked by someone I'd fallen madly for, I didn't see it coming."

Lund was attacked by her then boyfriend, 22-year-old Dean Campbell, who literally broke her nose one punch after the other. "I was rushed to the hospital where I was treated for my injuries, and doctors broke the news about my nose," Lund said. "Doctors told me I would need surgery and a brand new nose. My nose was too badly broken, with the cartilage hanging off–it was the only option."

Even though the surgery didn't happen immediately–Lund had to wait one year–the young woman says it was all worth it. "I had to live with the nose that was a constant reminder of the attack. When I walked out of surgery with my new nose I felt like a completely new person. I have been finally able to live my life again and move on from what happened."

The couple was together six months before the attack happened. According to Lund, "he seemed so nice in the beginning with great prospects." But then he started being abusive and she thought she could change him. But that never happens! Fortunately, her life changed for the best unexpectedly when she was presented with the opportunity to be a model. "It was one of the first times I'd been out, and a woman came up to me and asked me if I'd ever considered modelling before," said the now beauty queen.

Domestic abuse victims don't always have it easy when trying to move away from their past. But this teen, despite being so young, shows us all that it is possible to live again after being a victim of physical and psychological abuse. Good for her!
