I just finished reading a book about a man who has a tragic accident that leaves him paraplegic. I must admit it opened my eyes to the incredible amount of difficulties that those tied to a wheelchair have. That;s probably why this incredible love story between Trenton Cochran and his little sister Lindsay caught my attention. You see, Lindsay was born with a rare disorder known as spinal muscular atrophy and she has been in a wheelchair since she was 2.
Be forewarned, this big brother's genuine love will make you cry!

In the video below, you can see the siblings talking about their relationship, the things they like to do together and what each means to the other. At a certain point, it's obvious that Trenton is overtaken by his emotions and can't hold back his tears as he explains how Lindsay is his best friend and how he'd do absolutely anything for his little sister.
Meanwhile, the girl glances at him sideways with a face that looks as if she's saying "What's gotten into you? Why you crying like that? Have you lost your mind?" It's actually kind of hilarious, but I guess it shows the kind of awesome relationship they must have.
The truth is you have to see the heartwarming video to understand what I'm talking about. Although Lindsay doesn't cry, she does make it very clear that she can't imagine how her life would be without her big brother to love her and take care of all she needs.
I've always thought that the relationship between siblings can be one of the most beautiful ones. Maybe I say that because I have a loving relationship with my own sister. Or maybe it's because in recent years I have been fortunate enough to see up close the innate love between my daughter and my son. I do not know. What I do know is that this is the type of relationship that can not be faked. And Trenton and his sister Lindsay are the perfect example of this.
