Welcome to the present where after years of struggle and progress, women in the United States still pretty much earn less than men in the workforce. Yup, men still earn more than women across the board. This is true across education levels, states, and job industries. UGH! But wait! There are three employment areas where women actually earn more than men. Yup, just three. You think you can guess them?

Strangely, when it comes to part-time employees, women earn more than men. Interesting. A new report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics found that women who work 35 hours a week earn about 11 percent more than their male counterparts, whereas women who work 25 hours a week earn about 4 percent more. Once women hit 40 hours a week their earnings take a nose-dive compared to men's. Who the heck knows why part-time women make more money than men? It could be that they are women who are well-educated but can't work full time because of family obligations, whereas the men who are working part time as less educated and can't get full time work. Okay, so that's one area where women are out earning men? What are the two others? Women who are counselors and "health practitioner support technologist and technicians" are better paid than men in those areas. Counselors pretty much refers to anything from a school guidance counselor to a mental health worker. Health practitioner support technologist and technicians are like the people who give you x-rays and stuff.
