Despite being a quadruple amputee, 16-year-old Jorge Dyksen scored the only winning goal for his soccer team. The Panama-born teen from New Jersey has practically lived his whole life without legs and arms since they were amputated when he was a baby. His love for soccer has him playing as a forward on the Manchester Regional High School junior varsity team where he is a student.
His condition may shock many, but Dyksen refuses to let it handicap him and tries to live life as normally as possible.

Dyksens story starts off a tragedy as he was born with a skin condition that wouldn't allow blood to circulate to his fingers and toes. This caused doctors to amputate his limbs, but as the youngest of three siblings, his biological parents could not afford the $27,000 cost of prosthetic limbs for him.
That is when his parents had to make the ultimate sacrifice and put him up for adoption. It wasn't until before he turned 16 that the Dyksen family adopted him and say it was "love at first sight." To keep a balance between his adopted and biological families, he travels to Panama for three months in the summer time where he received a new pair of prosthetic legs every year.
In order to afford the costly legs, the Dyksens organize fundraisers at their church to help raise money for the teen. Despite his disability, he loves soccer and during the last game of the season, the winning goal was all up to him. He scored and both players from his team and the opposing one cheered him on as he scored the one goal he was aiming for all season. "It's a warm feeling you get when you see someone is able to become successful," Dyksen's assistant coach, Daniel Sanchez told ABC news.
I'm glad that there was a happy ending for the teen after all the hardships his family went through in the beginning. Most kids don't have this kind of luck especially in foreign countries if their parents can't afford their medical neccessities. I can't wait to see what other amazing tricks Dyksen has up his sleeve, but I predict he'll have a very successful future.
