Apparently, the woman was trying to disembark the train when she lost her balance and got trapped in the space between the train and the platform. Fortunately for her, commuters and staffers spotted her and ran to help. It took the combined strength of about 40 people, but somehow the group was able to sway the 32-ton train a little to the side–just enough to free the woman and pull her safely back onto the station platform. Wow! How crazy is that?!
As if that alone wasn't miraculously enough, the woman somehow managed to escape the entire terrifying ordeal completely unscathed. She walked away with no injuries and the train took off again a mere eight minutes later. According to CNN, the crowd even erupted into cheers as soon as they were able to get her out.
That's honestly amazing! Thank goodness that all those people saw her and were able to join together to save her life. I mean, moving 32 TONS? That couldn't have been easy, but it just goes to show what a group of individuals–even complete strangers–can accomplish by working together. And the fact that she somehow managed to get up and walk away without a scratch…well, that just makes the whole story even more unbelievable.
