Replace an old thermostat
Replace your old thermostat with a "smart" thermostat like this nest one. It will learn your energy habits, like when you are home and not home, to save you money.
Wash your clothes in cold water
Guess what? Not only do you save money washing your clothes in cold water, they also get just as clean. It's true, Good Housekeeping says so.
Turn down your water heater
Lower the temperature on your water heater by just 20 degrees. Don't worry, you'll still be able to take a hot shower.
Unplug
Unplug appliances when not in use. They are greedy little energy suckers even when they are turned off.
LED lights all the way
If you have not done so already, replace all of your homes lightbulbs with LED lighbulbs. You will have light for less money, honey.
