Much like most moms who remember the day their children were born, I remember the day I got my dog as a puppy. The excitement that comes over you is inexplicable because suddenly there's a new member of the family. When I saw the video of this dad getting excited over his puppy surprise, I could relate!
Reddit user Philip Michaels posted a video on the popular site showing his dad receive a Christmas surprise that anyone would be lucky to receive!
It's adorable seeing people fuss over their pooches, but nothing compares to the first time meeting your pet! The video captures the essence of receiving a new puppy (best Christmas present ever!) and the pleasant reaction that comes along with it. Michaels said he waited to get his father a new dog after the death of their family dog last year.

He paid a visit to the shelter where they found their last dog more than 15 years ago to find a new buddy for his dad. And looks like his father was ready for a new member in the family!
