If you weren't sure who to vote for in this past election or are sick and tired of people blaming the Democrats or the Republicans, and everyone in between, for our country's ills, then perhaps the voters of Virginia have come up with the perfect solution! When in doubt and not loving the candidates from either party, why not vote for a cat? That's right, thousands voters in Virginia wrote in Hank the Cat for the senate seat.

I personally think that Hank the Cat would have made a fantastic senator. I mean, if there's a cat mayor in Alaska, then why not a cat in one of the highest offices in the land? I know a couple of really good reasons why 6,000 opted to vote for a cat instead of Tim Kaine or George Allen in Virginia: cats are really smart and this one's running on a platform of job-creation.
Plus, I know one thing for sure: as a cat, he's sure to be bipartisan. I mean, that might actually be the best way to get things done in the Senate, wouldn't it? Instead of fighting over whether you're Republican or Democrat, let's actually get some people (or animals) in office that are just going to be concerned with moving the country forward–like this friendly feline.

Okay, in all seriousness, I'm clearly way too amused by the fact that all of these people voted for a cat instead of one of the human candidates. Hey, you never know, the Maine Coon could have actually gotten a few things done. Oh well, maybe he can run again next time.
